Free Shopify image SEO checker

Scan the first 5 Shopify products free

Recommended: Shopify Products CSV

Export Products CSV from Shopify Admin, upload or paste it here, then download a preview that preserves the original Shopify columns and only updates Image Alt Text for the first 5 products.

Keep every option, variant, image, and market column in place; handmade four-column CSVs are audit-only and will not be treated as safe Shopify imports. Free CSV checks only update the first 5 products and preserve the original CSV shape.

Optional: public storefront scan

Use this for public Shopify storefronts. Password-protected, unpublished, or anti-bot storefronts should use the CSV workflow above.

Free scans are capped at the first 5 products to keep the service fast and low-cost. Larger stores unlock more products with Growth or Agency plans. The scanner reads public storefront HTML only; it does not download images or write to Shopify. If your store is password-protected or unpublished, export Products CSV from Shopify and use CSV fallback.

Upgrade path

Free scans show the first 5 products. The paid delivery path is a reviewed Shopify Products CSV that keeps your original rows and updates Image Alt Text for the full catalog. Growth later unlocks larger self-serve scans, while Agency is for multi-store cleanup and human-reviewed delivery.

Get the full store fixed

Send the current audit summary and request the $19 Starter cleanup for up to 100 product images, or ask for a fixed quote on larger catalogs. We review the file, update Image Alt Text, and send back an import-ready CSV.

Pay $19 starter cleanup

No login yet. Your CSV stays in the browser unless you choose to email the summary. Use Stripe Payment Link when available; larger catalogs get a quote before payment.

Workflow

From scan to a real Shopify fix

The product is intentionally narrow: help a store owner understand which images need work, then choose the safest way to update Shopify.

Scan a real storefront

Use a public Shopify store URL first. The free scan checks 5 products without asking for app permissions.

Review weak alt text

See missing, generic, too-short, or shade-only alt text in one table with product-aware repair suggestions.

Fix safely in Shopify

Copy a few suggestions manually or export a cleanup CSV after backing up the original Shopify product file.

SEO launch map

Built around real search intent

Each page targets a clear query and points back to the free tool. No thin programmatic pages, just useful pages with crawlable copy, examples, FAQs, and export workflows.

Shopify CSV delivery

A safe path from audit to import-ready CSV

ImageSEOFix starts with a free preview, then turns a real Shopify Products CSV into a file a merchant can review and import. The workflow preserves Shopify option and variant columns so the file remains safe to test in Shopify's import preview.

1

Export Products CSV

In Shopify Admin, go to Products, export the current full Products CSV, and keep the original file as a backup.

2

Upload to ImageSEOFix

Upload the Shopify export without deleting option, variant, image, or market columns. The free preview checks the first 5 products.

3

Review the preview

Check missing, generic, short, or long alt text. Download the preview CSV only when the suggestions look safe.

4

Request full cleanup

For the full catalog, send the audit summary and CSV. The paid workflow returns a Shopify-ready CSV with Image Alt Text updated.

5

Import carefully

Import the cleaned copy with matching handles overwrite enabled, review Shopify preview, spot-check products, and keep the backup.

Best practice

How to use the recommendations safely

Use the free scan as a sample audit. If the problems are real, fix a few images manually or move to a CSV cleanup workflow for larger catalogs. ImageSEOFix does not write to your store without you reviewing the output.

Before importing any edited Shopify CSV, keep a backup of the original export, keep option and variant columns intact, enable matching handles overwrite only on the cleaned copy, and spot-check a few products after import.
Step 1

Start with your storefront URL

Paste a real merchant storefront, not shopify.com itself. The scan is read-only and never writes to Shopify.

Step 2

Fix a small sample manually

For a few images, copy the suggested alt text, open Shopify Admin > Products, select the product media, edit alt text, and save.

Step 3

Use CSV for batch cleanup

For larger stores, export the full Products CSV from Shopify, keep a backup, upload it here, review suggestions, then import the cleaned copy.

Step 4

Ask for full-store cleanup

If the sample shows many issues, request a private audit for a Shopify-ready cleanup workflow or human-reviewed CSV.
